How is TikTok engagement rate calculated?
Add the likes, comments, shares and saves of a video, divide by its views, and multiply by 100. Dividing by views rather than followers is the usual choice on TikTok, because most views come from the For You feed and not from followers.
Why does it not look up an account for me?
You type the numbers you see on the video. The calculator does not fetch profiles or keep anything about creators, and nothing you enter leaves your browser.
What do the per-interaction rows tell you?
A like is a cheap signal; a share or a save costs the viewer more. Two videos with the same engagement rate can have very different mixes, and the mix says more about what the audience did with the video than the total.
